  • NPRA cooperates with Capital Police in holding an inspection campaign

    The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) has organised an inspection campaign in cooperation with the Capital Governorate Police Directorate as part of the Interior Ministry's efforts to fight illegal workers and ensure the commitment of workers to the residency rules. The campaign included the arrest of violators of residency and other rules violators. Director of Search and Follow-Up, Col. Talal Nabeel, asserted the dedication of the NPRA to intensify inspection campaigns with the concerned authorities in all governorates. He highlighted the important role of the members of society in supporting efforts to stop illegal practices. More

  • NPRA Undersecretary chairs a meeting

    Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and Head of Maan (together) against violence and addiction committee, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa has chaired the panel meeting. He hailed the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to promote education services and outcomes. He valued the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for holding an orientation day for public schools to get students ready for in-person study. During the meeting, he welcomed the attendees and congratulated parents for the new academic year 2022-2023, stressing the need for joint efforts to ensure a safe study environment for students. After that, the Maan Director Ali Ameeni highlighted statistics about the programme’s beneficiaries in the last academic year. He highlighted that a policeman would be assigned to implement the programme in two schools. The director revealed the drafting of the first phase report on the peaceful coexistence and fighting extremism curriculum that was introduced in the last academic year. He also highlighted the new cybersecurity curriculum introduced recently as part of the programme’s activities. The NPRA Undersecretary reviewed coordination and follow-up with the Education Ministry in implementing the programme. More

  • Since the service launch in June, NPRA processes 54 applications for replacing and delivering passports for Bahrainis aboard

    His Excellency Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa said on Sunday that 54 applications for replacing and delivering passports to Bahrainis living abroad had been processed since the launch of the service in June. The service receives high demand and is being carried out in cooperation with DHL Express. He said that the service is part of the 24 initiatives as part of the recovery plan and the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. The service is part of the development plan, including issuing a first-time passport for Bahraini newborns living abroad. He highlighted that the NPRA applies the highest quality standards in providing fast and efficient services to meet the requirements of citizens and residents. More

  • NPRA introduces training visa

    The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) announced on Saturday the introduction of a multi-entry e-visa for training purposes that is valid for six months. It allows its holder to stay in the Kingdom for the same period. The visa is part of the 24 initiatives to enhance the NPRA services and the economic recovery plan launched by the Cabinet led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Along with the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to provide high-quality services. Interior Ministry Undersecretary for NPRA, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa highlighted that the visa could be extended for six months. He noted that those interested could apply through www.evisa.gov.bh for a fee of BD60. He said the visa is issued for a trainer or trainee in the government and private sector. Applicant should attach a letter from the concerned organisation to highlight the type and details about the training, a copy of a passport with a validity of more than six months and filling the required information on the website. More

  • NPRA Undersecretary meets with LMRA Chief Executive

    Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, has held a meeting with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chief Executive, Nouf Jamsheer. The NPRA Undersecretary highlighted the importance of such meetings to promote partnership, cooperation and integration between strategic partners for significant accomplishments and outcomes and achieve common goals in enhancing provided services by the two organisations. He added that cooperation between the two organisations led to many facilities and developments in the processing of applications of migrant workers. More
