Service Description
This service is provided to residents wishing to acquire Bahraini citizenship
Terms of Service
- Applicant or legal representative must be located inside the Kingdom of Bahrain to submit the application online
- An Arab applicant must have lived in Bahrain legally and consecutively for 10 years. For non-Arabs the period is 20 years
- The applicant must have a good command of Arabic language
- The applicant should own a property that is registered under his name in the Survey & Land Registration Bureau
- The applicant should be a person of good conduct
- Mentally competent
Documents Required
- Bahrain citizenship application form
- Letter addressed to His Majesty the King expressing the desire to obtain Bahraini nationality
- Copy of CPR reader
- Copy of current passport or travel document
- Copy of birth certificate
- Certified copy of marriage certificate, legalized by the Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Proof of marriage certificate issuance or legalization
- Document containing ID card data of spouse and children
- Official certificate for applicants with dual or triple name passport format
- Original and copy of nationality certificate
- Certificate from Survey & Land Registration Bureau confirming property ownership
- Health fitness certificate
- Certificate from Commercial Registration office for business applicants
- Education certificates or letter from Ministry of Education
- Copies of all passports as proof of residency continuity
- Employment certificate from workplace and Social Insurance Organization, valid for up to 3 months

- Apply through NPRA official website
- Select the required department and type of service
- Attach required documents
- Submit your application, and receive application number by email
