Waiving Foreign Nationality

Service Description

This service is for Bahraini citizens who want to give up their foreign nationality

Required Terms of the Service

• Applicant or legal representative must be located inside the Kingdom of Bahrain to submit the application online

Documents Required

•  Application form for permission to implement Law No. 21 of 2014
•  Letter addressed to His Excellency the Minister of Interior, stating the type of request and the reasons for it
•  Copy of the Bahraini passport
•  Copy of a valid ID card
•  Clear copy of a certified marriage certificate issued by the legal courts of Bahrain or any other country
•  Newly issued employment certificate
•  Certificate issued by the state from which nationality is sought, indicating approval for granting citizenship
•  Copy of the birth certificate

Procedure

• Apply through NPRA official website
• Select the required department and type of service
• Attach required documents
• Submit your application, and receive application number by email
