Description of Service
Self-Sponsorship Residence Permit (new | renewal) can be issued to the foreigner retirees, property owners and investor. This service is done in accordance to the rules and regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain
Required Terms of Service
The guarantor or authorized person must submit this application to receive the service.
Applications must be separated in case of having more than one application and each request must have its own documents.
If the Resident Permit is issued, then the resident must not take up paid or unpaid employment during his /her residence in the kingdom of Bahrain.
Required Documents
The retired foreigner
- Service request form. (Press here)
- A clear copy of the applicant passport valid for more than 6 months. (For Indian passport page and page 36).
- A copy of the applicant's ID.
- A clear copy of the Certificate of good conduct. (for new applicants only)
- A clear copy of the tenancy agreement and the electric bill.
- A clear copy of the retirement Certificate issued by employer in the kingdom or the GCC countries. In addition, the period of work should not be less than 15 years.
- A clear copy of the Health insurance certificate for the applicant.
- The applicant must have a source of sufficient income to support himself and his dependents, five hundred Bahraini Dinars (500 BD) per month or above
- A copy of the applicant's ID or the authorized person submitting the application.
- A clear copy of the previous Residence Permit. (for new applications only)
- A clear copy of the applicant's bank statement for six months.
The foreign property owner in Bahrain

- A copy of the applicant's ID.
- A clear copy of the Certificate of good conduct. (for new applicants only)
- A clear certified copy of the property deed stating that value of the property owned by the expat, the property value should not be less than (50,000 BD).
- A clear copy of the Health insurance certificate for the applicant.
- The applicant must have a source of sufficient income to support himself and his dependents, five hundred Bahraini Dinars (500 BD) per month or above.
- A clear copy of the bank statement for six months.
- A copy of the applicant's ID or the authorized person submitting the application.
- A clear copy of the previous Residence Permit if available. (for new applicants only)
- A clear copy of the electric bill.
The Foreign Investor

- A copy of the applicant's ID.
- A clear copy of the Certificate of good conduct. (for new applicants only)
- A clear copy of the tenancy agreement and the electric bill.
- A certified copy of the company’s articles of association showing the applicant share which must be one hundred thousand Bahraini Dinars (100,000 BD) or above.
- A clear copy of the valid commercial registration (CR) of the company.
- A clear copy of the Health insurance certificate for the applicant.
- The applicant must have a source of sufficient income to support himself and his dependents, five hundred Bahraini Dinars (500 BD) per month or above.
- A clear copy of the bank statement for six months.
- A clear copy of the audited bank statement for the company. (for renewal)
- A copy of the applicant's ID or the authorized person submitting the application.
- A clear copy of the previous Residence Permit if available. (for new applicants only)
Procedures
- Apply via any of the service channels.
- Pay the fees and receive your receipt.
Fees
- Application submission fee (none refundable) 4BD
- 2 years 200BD
- 5 years 400BD
- 10 years 600BD
- Additional fee case transferring from visit 60BD
