The Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, announced the expansion of the delivery service of passports inside the Kingdom of Bahrain to meet the enormous demand of citizens and the service’s major success. He said that the new step includes home delivery for passports of newborn children as part of the NPRA efforts to facilitate its services
The NPRA Undersecretary said the new service is available through the e-government portal (Bahrain.bh) and NPRA app (NPRA-Bahrain). It is part of the cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority and TAM Logistics & Trading. The initiative aims to reinforce digital transformation and provide remarkable services to showcase the NPRA's commitment to facilitating procedures for citizens and providing advanced services.
He highlighted that the service enables citizens to issue passports for their children for the first time without the need to visit the service centres. Personal data would be protected through a verification code sent to citizens to ensure that they receive the passports.
The NPRA Undersecretary called upon citizens to benefit from this innovative service and other e-services that enhance the quality of government services.
