Description of Service

Application for acquiring Bahraini nationality for the foreign wife of a Bahraini citizen

Required Terms of the Service

• Applicant must be located inside the Kingdom of Bahrain to submit the application online

Required Documents

• Application form for Bahraini citizenship services
• Copy of the applicant passport
• Copy of husband’s passports
• Copy of the applicant valid resident permit
• Copy of wife, husband and children’s identity cards
• Copy of the applicant certified and notarized birth certificate
• Copy of children’s birth certificates
• Copy of the marriage certificate (in case the marriage certificate was issued abroad, “affidavit conjugal” is required from the legal courts of Bahrain is to be presented with the original foreign marriage certificate)
• In case the wife passport has dual or triple name form, an Official certificate should be provided to prove the wife’s full name
• Copy of the nationality certificate of the wife
• Copy of the applicant first passport entered into the Kingdom of Bahrain

Procedure

• Apply through Nationality, Passports & Residence Affairs website (Nationality Directorate)
• Fill in the application form
• Attach the required documents
• Submit your application, and receive your application number by email
