Bahrain e-passport with the international Reddot Design Award 2024, in which the award distributing ceremony will be held on November 1 in Berlin.
The Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, expressed appreciation for this high accomplishment, which is considered an international recognition of Bahrain under the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He hailed the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in implementing initiatives to develop NPRA services. He also highlighted the endless support of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, who contributed to this global milestone.
He said that winning is a global achievement that reflects the excellence of Bahrain's e-passport, with its enriched visual appeal in terms of design and security features. It uses the latest identity document technologies and enhances Bahrain’s commitment to providing the best services.
He thanked the e-passport team and all contributors to the achievement and asserted the continuation of developing all provided services.
The award attracted the participation of a wide range of companies and design studios worldwide. Bahrain e-passport won the jury award “Best of the Best” in keeping with the slogan “Winning is the beginning” announced by the organising company.
Founder and CEO of Red Dot, Dr Peter Zec, congratulated the design team in a letter for winning the award, which reflected the outstanding design and highlighted the Jury award, recognised uniqueness and creative performance.
The project will be published in the International Yearbook Brands & Communication Design and presented in the winners section on www.red-dot.org and other exhibitions, ensuring it gets the international recognition and attention it deserves.
