NPRA Undersecretary receives Regional Director for the Middle East

His Excellency Ministry of Interior Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa received at the Officer's Club the Regional Director for the Middle East of Home Office International Operations in the United Kingdom Tonya Bentlan and the accompanying delegation. 

HE Shaikh Hisham welcomed Ms Tonia Bentlan and the accompanying delegation, pointing out the importance of the meeting and its role in strengthening bilateral security cooperation and coordination. HE noted that the development strategy adopted by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has contributed to achieving success and was reflected in the cadre’s excellent performance.  

Areas of cooperation and joint coordination were discussed, including reviewing the UK experiences in facilitating procedures for travellers and verifying their identities. HE highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise, including cross-border crime, forgery crimes, and human trafficking, which contribute to developing services by providing specialised courses and modern technologies to ensure the provision of the best services.
