Maan Committee Chairman chairs meeting

Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and Chairman of the Maan (Together) Programme Against Violence and Addiction Committee, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, chaired the Maan Committee meeting in the presence of its members.

The meeting discussed several topics related to the programmes and initiatives of the Maan Research and Training Centre. 

At the beginning of the meeting, he praised the Maan Centre for winning prestigious regional and international awards, affirming that these achievements reflect the advanced level the centre has reached in developing its preventive and awareness programmes and initiatives.

He also praised the efforts of the team that participated in these awards and the professional capabilities and distinguished skills of its members, which contributed to meeting the standards and requirements for winning and presenting the centre’s experience honourably in various forums.

During the meeting, Director of Crime Prevention and Director of the Maan Programme, Ali Ahmed Ameeni, gave a briefing on the Maan summer digital programme and its modern methods of delivering awareness and security messages in line with students’ interests. He also reviewed the key features of the Maan Security Awareness Exhibition 2026 and its role in promoting awareness of positive behaviours and of security and safety concepts.

The meeting also addressed the distinguished cooperation between the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Education in implementing the Maan Programme in schools across the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels. This cooperation has contributed to delivering preventive and awareness messages to students within an organised educational environment and enhancing institutional partnership in supporting young people and protecting them from negative behaviours, in a way that achieves the shared goals of the two ministries in building an aware and responsible generation.
