Issuance of Previous Residence Permits Certificate

Service Description: This certificate is issued to the worker or sponsor to complete procedures such as obtaining a Good Conduct Certificate from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, or to finalize work termination and departure procedures from the country.

Service Requirements:
• The certificate is issued based on the destination country.
• It confirms the sequence of previous residence permits.

Required Documents:
Via Official Site (In-Person Submission):
• A letter addressed to the Nationality, Passports & Residence Affairs (NPRA).
• Copy of the worker’s passport.
• Copy of the worker’s Smart ID card.
• Copies of any previous passports, if available.
• Copy of the Commercial Registration (CR) or Personal Registration.
• Copy of the email sent by the requesting authority.
• Copy of the representative’s Smart ID card.
• Authorization letter from the applicant to the representative.

Via NPRA-Bahrain Mobile App:
• No documents required.

Service Processing Time:
• 1 to 3 working days.

How to Obtain the Service:
Via Official Website:
• Visit the Nationality, Passports & Residence Affairs (NPRA) official website.
• Select the relevant department and service type, then complete the required fields.
• Upload all necessary documents.
• If the application is approved, a text message and email with a payment link will be sent.
• A payment reference number will be sent via SMS upon payment confirmation.
• Once the certificate is ready, it will be sent to your email.

Via NPRA-Bahrain Mobile App:
• Download the NPRA-Bahrain mobile application.
• Log in using your eKey.
• Select Certificate Issuance, then complete the 4 steps:
1. Application: Select applicant type (Personal), certificate type, purpose, and declaration.
2. Attachments: Upload if required.
3. Confirmation.
4. Payment: Pay the service fee of BHD 5.
