Service Description: This certificate is provided to complete inheritance procedures or similar cases, or to add or change the surname of the deceased’s children.
Conditions to Obtain the Service:
- The request must be submitted by one of the children or a legal representative
- Acceptance of the request may be subject to approval from the Legal Affairs in case of missing documents
- Access through the electronic key on the (NPRA-Bahrain) website

- A letter addressed to the Directorate of Nationality, Passports, and Residence
- A copy of the official power of attorney
- A copy of the Sharia inheritance document
- A copy of the deceased’s passport
- A copy of the applicant’s ID card
- A copy of the deceased’s identity card
- A copy of the death certificate
- Authorization from the applicant to the person submitting the request

How to Obtain the Service:

- Log in to the Directorate of Nationality, Passports, and Residence website
- Select the department and service type, then fill in the required fields
- Attach all required documents
- If your request is accepted, you will receive an SMS and email containing the payment link
- You will receive an SMS on your mobile phone with the balance number confirming the payment
- Once the certificate is ready, it will be sent via email

- Download the NPRA-Bahrain application on your phone
- Log in using the electronic key (e-key)
- Choose the service type (Issue Certificate) and follow these 4 steps:
- Request: Applicant (personal), choose certificate type, enter certificate details and declaration
- Attachments: Attach documents if requested
- Confirmation
- Payment of 5 Bahraini Dinars
