Passport Renewal

Description of Service

This service is available to Bahraini citizens. Passport renewal is specifically offered for passports with a validity of less than one year 

Required Terms of the Service

Personal attendance

• Applications must be submitted in person or by an authorized person
• Provide your previous passport
• Passport holders aged 14 and above must provide their authorized signature

• Apply through the official eGovernment website
• Attach a clear copy of the passport
• Pay the application fee(s)
• Passports should have an expiry date of less than one year
• When your passport is ready, you will receive an SMS notification to collect it from the same service center where you applied
• Passports should be in good condition and not lost or damaged

• Recent passport photo with a white background (size: 6x4 cm)
• Original passport

Personal attendance

• Book an appointment through the Mwaeid application
• Visit one of the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) branches, ensuring that all required documents are provided and organizational procedures are followed for submission.
• Fill out the service application form and wait for the reference number to appear on the screen.
• Proceed to the designated officer and present the required documents along with the reference number.
• Pay the application fee(s)
• When your passport is ready, you will receive an SMS notification to collect it from the same service center where you applied

• Visite eGovernment official website Bahrain.bh website.
• Log in to the eGovernment website using the eKey.
• Fill in the required information.
• Pay the fees.
• If your application is approved, you will receive an email containing the payment receipt.
• Once your passport is ready for collection, you will receive a text message instructing you to visit the pickup center (original passport must be brought).

Fees

• ePassport first-time issue 12 BHD (individuals above 60 years 6 BHD)
• ePassport renewal 15 BHD (individuals above 60 years 7.5 BHD)

       Optional passport delivery service within Bahrain:

        - Delivery within 1 day after payment: 3.950 BHD

        - Delivery within 72 hours after payment: 2.900 BHD

Note

• The passport will be delivered within the specified timeframe once "TAM Logistics" has received the new passport from NPRA
